Library Suggestions

There are some reference books that I have found helpful over the years.  I would like to share some of them with you.  Some of them were consulted while writing my patterns.  Others I have found useful in allowing me to master new techniques.

ANYTHING by Elizabeth Zimmerman.  And I do mean anything.  Books, magazine articles, individual patterns.  Basically anything.  She was a gift to our planet and the knitting universe.  I became a better, more adventurous knitter and designer due to her influence.

Beverly Royce  Notes On Double Knitting.  Expanded edition.  Schoolhouse press.  ISBN -0-942018-06-0.  This is my go-to book for anything that I want to design or make using tube knitting on two needles.  I used it a lot for bits and pieces.

Finishing School:  A Master Class for Knitters by Deborah Newton.  ISBN - 13: 9781936096190.  Well thought out and easy to understand.  This will be a valuable resource for all of your knitting projects.

100 Flowers to Knit and Crochet by Lesley Stanfield.  ISBN - 13: 9780312538347.  The book includes butterflies and other insects as well as veggies, leaves and fruit.  Additionally: 150 Knitted Trims.  ISBN-13: 978-0-312-36325-3.  I have designed entire garments using this book.  Both books are beautifully photographed and the instructions are clearly written.

Mary Thomas book of knitting patterns any edition.
